Company Feature: Fire-Dex
If you visit their website, you will find that FireDex is “a family-owned, global manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) for firefighters and first responders. With a strong emphasis on health and safety and a mission “to serve those who serve”, we've paved the path of innovation for head-to-toe products, offering turnout gear, rescue & wildland PPE, boots, hoods, gloves, helmets, and even isolation PPE.”
Based in Medina, Ohio, they have a production facility in Pelham, Georgia, and they serve the fire protection industry with turnout gear, PPE and other protective garments and equipment.
As the Covid-19 crisis took hold of our nation, our community was no different. And this local company made the quick transition to repurpose their facility to produce PPE for medical workers.
Their unique product is being made into garments and other apparel that can be washed and reused, rather than thrown away after a single use.
Well done and thanks for keeping citizens working, while protecting our health care HEROES!!
The Pelham plant was featured in this news story at the time, and we are proud to share it again here.
Thank you for producing in Mitchell County!
