The Mitchell County Development Authority (MCDA) plans to apply for an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup grant in the amount of $200,000 to assist with the cleanup of hazardous waste and petroleum contaminants at the former Cagles Processing Facility on Highway 37 in Camilla, Georgia.
The Grant application/proposal and draft Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) will be available to enable citizens to review the documents, and offer time for comments/questions, during the regular Mitchell County Development Authority meeting to be held in November.
The meeting will be held at 186 East Broad Street on Tuesday, October 3rd at 9am.
